Some devices on my CiscoView do not show their chassis view. They give the following error message
"Cannot find applicable device package for 10.x.x.x." (LMS 3.2, CV 6.1.9)
I checked cv.log which gave me the following message
ERROR CvDevice: CANNOT find device definition for sysObjId .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1229!
ERROR CvDevice: CANNOT find device definition for sysObjId .1.3.6.1.4.1.9.1.1208!
I checked software/device updates and no new updates were available,
CV is running version 6.1.9, the device type count shows 474 devices against ciscoview. When I click on the 474, the above OID's are missing. Screenshot attached.
But no new updates are available when I check for updates. I also have checked the supported device table for LMS 3.2 and the two devices are definitely supported in this version of LMS.
Is this a bug?
TIA

Check for updates from CCO for the latest 3560 and 2960 device packages, download and install them. There was a new package for each released late November, which should resolve your issues.

Hi,
So if you are suggesting manual updates from the CCO, is there a
documentation that can explain me how I can go about it.
If I am doing device updates for CiscoView, there are device package updates
and then there is shared device package updates. Which one to choose?
Also after I download the file, how do I go about manually installing the
updated file? my LMS device update seems to think it has already got the
latest updates.
TIA

In the same window you posted in the screen shot, put a check mark next to CiscoView and then select the button Check for Updates
Then select cisco.com as the place to check for updates, enter your login info and then let it go out and go the list of downloadable packages.
Select these devices when they appear in the package list, download and install

Hi,
You must have missed this from my original post. When I click 'check for
updates' after selecting cisco view, it is giving me a message 'no new
updates available for this product'
I then went to CCO and manually downloaded a file called
Cat2960.cv50.v8-1.zip and then tried installing that by following the steps,
Check for updates and then selecting a server path instead of cisco.com,
this time it gave me the message 'consistency check failed for base package'
Thanks for your assistance

how I go
