ciscoworks lms 3.1 device support

Hi netpro team,

can you pls confirm me if the below two switches are supported in lms 3.1 bundle ?

i checked in cisco site, but these devices were reflecting under only for lms 3.2 and not mentioned that lms 3.1 support or does not support...

Being a techie ppl like netpro can easily help me in this regards...

if not possible, please let me know how do i make it support..

pls find the attache notepad which contains all the module version details of lms bundle.

Hi ,

WS-C3750V2-48PS >> This device is supported in LMS 3.1 Except in cisco view it is not supported

WS-C2960S-48FPS-L  >> This device is supported in RME and Cisco view but for other application it is not supported (like CM, DFM )

Please check the below link for Supported Device list for LMS 3.1:

Check for the avaialble Device Packges in case  you are not able to see the Devices as Expexted.

according to the list on this site both your devices are supported in LMS 3.1:

But be sure to have the latest device package updates installed for all your applications.
If you LMS server can connect to CCO you can update the device packages from within LMS:
Common Services > Software Center > Device Package Updates
(update device packages for Common Services first)

Thats too great...could you please locate me for downloading the device updates locally, as there is some problem in our lms server while connecting to cisco....

Yes they are supported in HUM and IPM as well as per my knowledge.

as per the datasheet, WS-C3750V2-48PS & WS-C2960S-48FPS-L require, RME 4.2.5 & CM 5.1.3........ currently rme version is rme 4.2.0 & CM 5.1.0... SO should i update the device update of 42.0 & 5.1.0 resepectively OR should i update the RME and CM version itself.??

Secondly, If I update the above versions, will these switches show in cs,rme,dfm,cv,ipm,hum etc...or only in some modules support..

Hi ,

Yes you can upgarde the RME and Campus Manager .

My suggestion would be to Upgarde the LMS itself from LMS 3.1 to LMS 3.2 . It will  be a free Upgarde for you as you are alraedy running on 3.x series

You can downlaod the Evaluation Version of LMS 3.2 from the below link and you do not need a different license for LMS 3.2 , your Existing License of LMS 3.1 will work for LMS 3.2 Perfectly.
