CiscoWorks LMS 4.0 remote migration

Hi,

We plan to update an old version of LMS 2.6 installed on Solaris 8.

The choices are to continue on a Solaris box or to migrate to a Windows server.

  • Is it possible to have some remote migration but using the same server as the old one where we plan to install Solaris 10 ?
  • Is it possible to do a remote migration from the Solaris server to a Windows server ?

Regards,

> Yes. This should be not much different from remote migration between two servers, mostly hinging on taking good backup(s) with the wrapper script shipped with LMS 4.0.

> No, this apparenlty is still not possible: "Cross platform data migration is not supported."
