Hi Guys,
We have an issue where we make/receive a phone call and we have no sound. After 15 seconds the call drops
Here is our configuration:
-SIP provider = Cloud SIP (no MBX on site)
-Phones are operating on the LAN subnet
-We have 2x ASA 5515x in HA mode and a Firepower virtual appliance
Phone provider needs/recommends:
-SIP inspection disabled
-RTP ports 16384-32767 open
+we disabled sip inspection and attempted to make all sorts of changes to allow RTP outbound but the behavior remains the same. If we look at the real-time log viewer, the message we see is:
Syslog id: 434002 ; Description: SFR requested to drop UDP packets from inside <ip of phone>/<RTP port> to outside <ip of sip provides>/<RTP port> (see screenshot)
I'm suspecting that this problem might be caused by the Firepower appliance; however, I am not sure what policy i need to create ensure the phone can make a call
Does anyone have any experience with this? any help would be appreciated
Cheers!
A.P.
