Hello *,
we are evaluating DCNM10 in our network at the moment and have diffrent issues:
1. When I try to add a image or configuration server URL it keeps me telling that the server/path could not be reached or the credentials are wrong, but when I do a scp as root on the shell with the same data as entered in that web mask, it works just fine?! So why it doesn't work from the webapp?
Name: Test_Rep
Protocol: scp
IP: our repository servers IP
Path: /netadm/repositories/firmware/cisco_nexus/N5K
Username: ouruser
PW: password
2. Discovery only works with SNMP-User not with simple v1/v2c-communitystring
3. Previously discovered links, that also show performance data suddenly go red with state "last seen 1969/12/31 - 16:00:00" - but the links are okay on the devices. I added a Screenshot to this phenomen.
Another non technical point is the lack of documentation! The online help is, sorry, a joke. A "fill that form and click save" isn't a documentation woth mentioning for a professional product like the DCNM. I expect screenshots and samples at last, so maybe one can see his own errors on a fly. That are the biggest points that we discovered so far, otherwise DCNM 10 seems to be really cool and we sure would like to use it.
Kind regards
Hendrik

Addition to 1.) with help of a Linux admin I could determine that DCNM doesn't use the system scp command but java crap named "jsch". That java client tries authentication only with
method gssapi-with-mic [preauth]
imho the correct method yould be password?!
I couldn't find a config file yet, where I could change that behaviour.
