devices in dcr

hello,

When using device discovery some of my devices ID's are IP and some are hostname...

Even if In global settings my prefered DCR display name is Host Name...

I try to find what is causing this ?

My goal is to manage all my devices by their hostname...

any ideas ?

The management IP found by Discovery must not be properly resolvable in either the server's local hosts file or in DNS.  Use the resolver.pl tool to confirm that these IP addresses are resolvable:

NMSROOT/bin/perl NMSROOT/bin/resolver.pl IP
