DFM 3.0.5 Notification Groups - no devices found

Hello! I'm in the process of reconfiguring our DFM module have some significant network changes. I've reinitialized the modules databases and manually imported a test group of routers into DFMs device management. The devices have been found and have a known status in the device summary.

When I begin the process to create a notification group for email based notifications, the notification group selection window shows no devices available. If I manually search for the devices, I am able to find them, but after selecting them, I'm given the following error:

"The devices contaminated in the subscription are no longer found in the inventory"

I've confirmed the devices existence in CS and RME. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

You state that you reinitialized the the DFM databases?  What procedure did you follow? Was it the following (assumes you are running a windows environment)?

Stop Daemons (net stop crmdmgtd)

> Reinit database

C:\Progra~1\CSCOpx\bin\perl C:\Progra~1\CSCOpx\bin\dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=dfmInv dmprefix=INV

C:\Progra~1\CSCOpx\bin\perl C:\Progra~1\CSCOpx\bin\dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=dfmFh dmprefix=FH

C:\Progra~1\CSCOpx\bin\perl C:\Progra~1\CSCOpx\bin\dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=dfmEpm dmprefix=EPM

> Remove DFM.rps,

NMSROOT/objects/smarts/local/repos/icf/DFM.rps

Start Daemons

Import devices from DCR

Wait for devices to become known by DFM

Please post the output of 'pdshow' & attach NMSROOT/MDC/tomcat/logs/stdout.log

Thanks

Hi.  Thanks for your replay.  My apologies for the delay in responding.  Got pulled off of this for another project.

In any case, yes, I did follow the procedure you stated for reinitalitzing the DFM database.  The procedure I found on Cisco's site did change the initialization order for the databases.  Except for that change, the steps specified were completed in the same order you've specified.

I am happy to reinitalize DFM again following your steps if you feel it would be beneficial.  It certainly wouldn't hurt at this point as it is not useful to my department in it's current state.

The requested files are attached.  Thanks in advance.

Yes,  go ahead and follow the directions above.  If it still proves unsuccessful then gather the TISServer.log and/or try reinstalling DFM.

Thanks

Hi.  I reinitialized the databases and still have the same result.  The TISServer.log is attached.

TIA,

BK

Did you execute the step regarding NMSROOT/objects/smarts/local/repos/ics/DFM.rps?
Please ensure that the sync with dcr is enabled prior to DB initialization and let me know the result.

Question:  Are you integrated with ACS?

No, our system is not integrated with ACS.  I made sure the DCR sync  was enabled prior ot DB initilatization.  It took a significant amount  of time for DFM to find the devices after this initialization.   Unfortunately, I am still unable to see any devices in the notification  groups.
