Difference between 24-hour report and standard report

May I know what is the difference between RME Syslog 24-hour report and standard report?

The Standard Report can be run for time frames other than the past 24 hours.

If i am not wrong 24-hour report also allows me to select different time frame if the check box of 24 hours is unchecked.

Yes, it does. The report has undergone quite a few changes in LMS 2.5+. At this point, the 24 hour report is there as a placeholder for those wanting a quick 24 hour look at syslog messages. It also provides a nice subject title for those looking at the report. Sure, you could create a 24 Hour Report than spans a week, but the contents would be confusing.

following on from this trail, how do I change the schedule and other settings for this job?

I have numerous instances of the standard and summary report scheudled but I cannot find how to edit them. I see the instances, but not the actual job.
