Error notification in RME in cisco works LMS 3.2

Hai everybody,

          We have a cisco works LMS for managing our switches , i was trying to learn the RME tools which comes in cisco works package. I try to compare the startup and running config of a switch but  i am getting a error notification saying startup/running config fetch failed

DCMA0056: Startup/Running config fetch failed. Cannot compare configurations.

so anybody help me to sort out my problem

Are you sure RME was able to backup configuration from device? please run a new job to sync archive and check the box to collect startup config as well and see it succeeds.

Please share the results. You can run sync job from :

CiscoWorks LMS Portal > RME > Config Mgmt > Archive Mgmt > Sync Archive

       The Sync archive status showing failed .

Click on the job and show the main error message of failure. Share more details on which device platform it is (Share show version).

Are you trying thorough Telnet or SSH? Are credentials configured properly for device in LMS? Run a Credential Verification Job (CDA) and share result:

CiscoWorks LMS Portal > RME > Devices > Device Management > Device Credential Verification Jobs
