Good morning,
the Catalyst 4507R-E switch has two power supplies 2800W.
The power supplies operate in parallel or alternately, when one fails the other works?
Thank you. Greetings.

Hi,
I would say it depends... Have a look on the Cisco Power Calculator, I'll think you'll find an answer there: tools.cisco.com/cpc/LCS.cpc

Hi,
All Catalyst 4500 E-switches offer 1+1 power redundancy, so that in the event of a power interruption the switch can still operate using power from another circuit.
The power supplies can also run in a combined mode so that chassis can have power from both supplies at once. Use the power redundancy-modecommand to configure combined mode.
Redundant mode is the default.
Hope that Helps..
