Integrating Cisco Prime Infrastructure with APIC-EM

I am not able to integrate my Cisco Prime Infrastructure with my APIC-EM, Cisco Prime is version 3.1.0 and APIC-EM is version 1.3.2.37

On Prime I navigate to Administration / APIC-EM controller, add the APIC-EM server IP and enter credentials I know work on the APIC-EM application, however I have a big red cross under reachability.

I have tried extensive searching but cannot find any useful information on how to debug this, I have searched logs on both Prime and APIC but still have no success.

Any body got any tips on how to troubleshoot this?

I had the same issue and to fix it you need to change the password so it only contain ASCII characters.

It is working for me now with a complex password, I had a case open with cisco and after several dead ends it started working.

Not sure if it was recent upgrade (we are now on version 1.4.1.1159), no major changes were made and we are unable to explain why it has started working.

just make sure the password you set are same on both prime and apic-em controller, as below:
