Hi,
we're running LMS 4.0.1 and after the last IOS-Upgrade of Catalyst 6509 I have a problem with the inventory collection of these devices.
The Catalyst 6509 switches now running IOS 15.1(2)SY. The inventory collection of all these devices now fails.
I restarted all services and the LMS-Server itself.
The collection from all other devices is functional.
Extraction from IC_Server.log:
[ Wed Jan 08 11:40:41 CET 2014 ],ERROR,[Thread-19],com.cisco.nm.rmeng.inventory.ics.core.CollectionController,1107, Collection failed for the device : 726
com.cisco.nm.xms.xdi.ags.system.CollectionFailed: com.cisco.nm.lib.snmp.futureapi.SnmpReqTimeoutException: SnmpRequestTimeout on xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx while performing SnmpWalk(*) at index = -1
(IP address replaced with xxx)
Why is the SNMP-request failing after IOS-Upgrade? A credential check of SNMPv3-credentials gives a success.

Hi Kerstin,
I can clearly see the SNMP TIMEOUT exception.
Increase the
Number of retries to 3
Timeout Interval to 15
from
[Admin > Network > Timeout and Retry Settings > Inventory/Config Timeout and Retry Settings]
Now try to run the Inv. job and see how it works
