Hello I have a problem with LMS2.5 When I do ,Common Services --> Devices and Cridentials --> DEvice Management I have the following error
Error in communicating with DCA Server.
DCA Server may be down. Please start the DCA Server and then refresh the page.
I have checked the process list and I coulnd see any DCA server in the list the closest match was
Process= DCRServer
State = Waiting to initialize.
Pid = 5596
RC = 0
Signo = 0
Start = 11.04.2005 13:24:15

Info = Server started by admin request
Which the status of the process always Waiting to initialize. . Tried stop/start and not changed in any way.

eakay,
Have you been able to resolve the issue or determine
what that error actually means. I have the same error
after I upgraded to the new version. Thus I cannot add any devices or make use of the server.

Miron

I had a similar problem after my upgrade. I was migrating data from LMS 2.2. The problem was found to be because the SSL Certificate on my LMS 2.2 had an invalid date. Evidently, the migration utility and DCR server cannot handle it.
You might check to see if this is the problem on your server.

I had this same issue and after reading this post I went to Server ~ Security and saw that my certificate too had expired. I created a new one under Security ~ Single Server Mgmt ~ Certificate Setup.....rebooted and communication to the DCA Server was established.
It never ceases to amaze me how this forum is one of the most valuable resources I have for finding resolution to real-world issues.
