LMS 3.2 - HUM Data purge question

Hi there,

with reading HUM-Help regarding Data Purge Settings for HUM-DB in LMS 3.2 I'm

not quite sure what and how data is purged in the DB.

We activated the default purging but last weekend we had an blowout within the

UPM-DB (size was approx. 32 GByte).

Does with purging enabled the DB-Filesize shrink?

If no, are there any possibilities shrink filesize of UPM-DB?

No, purging will not shrink database size.  This is true for all LMS purging.  There is a manual process where by the database is unloaded, then reloaded into a clean file.  This will compact it, but the process can take many hours especially on a database so large.  If you want to pursue it, TAC can provide you the steps.
