LMS 3.2: purge difffiles still necessary?

Hello,

is it still necessary to purge the files in D:\apps\CSCOpx\files\rme\dcma\difffiles periodically in LMS 3.2? Can they still be deleted without causing problems?

We've got the problem of growing filespace in D:\apps\CSCOpx and I remember this solved a similar problem in LMS 2.5.1
