hi

I have been trying for two days now to get LMS 3.2 properly installed on Solaris 10 10/08.

Installed on ZFS filesystem with patch 127127-11 applied.

The "symptoms" are as follow:

When I point my browser to http://10.xxx.xxx.xxx:1741

I get redirected to: https://10.xxx.xxx.xxx/CSCOnm/servlet/login/login.jsp

RESULT Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

I have tried to install different parts of LMS suite but nothing seems to work.

Any help is very welcome !

BR

Lasse

Your DCR is not fully up according to the pdshow output:

        Process= DCRServer
        State  = Waiting to initialize.
        Pid    = 10201
        RC     = 0
        Signo  = 0
        Start  = 04/21/10 12:57:32
        Stop   = Not applicable
        Core   = Not applicable
        Info   = Application started by administrator request.

Internal Error: The maximum number of retry attempts (3) to restart application (DCRServer) has been reached.

1. Get the dcr.log and daemons.log from /var/adm/CSCOpx/log directory.

2. Get the /opt/CSCOpx/MDC/Apache/log directory contents and compress.

3. Get the /ect/nsswitch.conf file .

Hi

Log files attached.

dcr.log is empty.

Also is it ok to install LMS.32 with Solaris Core packages installed only ?

Thanks

The problem seems to be that the RSA server certificate CommonName is ciscoworks01.netmgmt.fiin.dk which does not match the servername of ciscoworks02.fiin.dk. After the installation completed, did you change the hostname of the server ?

1. If the hostname changed, you will need to update the md.properties file from /opt/CSCOpx/lib/classpath directory and update the hostname.

2. Check your /etc/host file and ensure the hostname matches the ciscoworks server from the cli when you type "hostname".

3. For a redirect to occur from 10.144.239.35 to 10.144.239.36, that implies the server is misconfigured and incorrect SSL certificate must be installed.

4. Provie a copy of your /opt/CSCOpx/MDC/Apache/conf/httpd.conf file.  Have you modified this file in anyway ? If any modification has been done, please revert those changes.

5.  Then try the following "/opt/CSCOpx/bin/perl ConfigSSL.pl -disable" to disable SSL.

6.  Run /opt/CSCOpx/bin/perl /opt/CSCOpx/MDC/Apache/SSLUtil.pl and select option 7 to update the hostname for the server certificate.

7.  Then restart the LMS daemon manager.

#1

I'm working on at two server setup. ciscoworks01 and ciscoworks02.

If ciscoworks02 appear in the logs, I fear that I by mistake have sent the wrong files(unless the two servers have communicated autonomously). I have attached the correct stdout.log now.......

#2

/etc/hosts and hostname output is equal. ciscoworks01

#3

The redirect is on the same ip address

#4

File is attached

#5

/opt/CSCOpx/bin/perl ConfigSSL.pl -disable
SSL is already disabled

#6

My SSLutils is in /opt/CSCOpx/MDC/Apache/ bin

/opt/CSCOpx/bin/perl SSLUtil.pl

           *** CiscoWorks SSL Utility ***

Note: Any Certificate given as input to this script should be in Base64-Encoded X.509Certificate format

You have the following options

1. Display CiscoWorks Server Certificate Information
2. Display the input Certificate Information
3. Display Root CA Certificates trusted by CiscoWorks Server
4. Verify the input Certificate/ Certificate Chain
5. Upload Single Server Certificate to CiscoWorks Server
6. Upload a Certificate Chain to CiscoWorks Server
7. Modify Common Services Certificate
8. Quit

Enter your choice [1-8]:7

Common Services Certificate details:

****************************************************

subject= /CN=*DOMAINNAME*/emailAddress=yourusername@example.com

issuer= /CN=*DOMAINNAME*/emailAddress=yourusername@example.com

****************************************************
Host Name in Common Services Certificate is given below

Do you want to change the Host Name in the Certificate [y/n]?
Y:

changed the certificate  to the same.

I will check the service first thing tommorow as I can only ssh to the server right now.

Thanks

Hi there,

1. Do you have single sign on enalbed for both LMS servers ?

2. Can you get the /opt/CSCOpx/lib/classpath/sso.properties file ?

3. Try updating the hostname from LMS by running the "/opt/CSCOpx/bin/perl /opt/CSCOpx/bin/hostnamechange.pl" .

LMS install is ok when I choose the entire Solaris software group.

I didn't know that I this was required for LMS to work.

Thanks

Thanks for the update, I will verify the documentation to see what it states for the type of Solaris installation is required.

Thanks again.
