LMS 4.2 Log rotation gui now blank

Setup: LMS 4.2 Soft appliance

How can I restore the log rotation gui configuration back to default settings? For some reason the screen is now completely blank after making no changes. I have attached screen shot of a working server and a screen shot of the server that is not working.

Thanks

NMSROOT/objects/logrot/logrot.conf contains the setting of files GUI shows for logrot. You can try to copy the content from working server to non-working server.

Please take a backup of existing logrot.conf before editing. It does not requires to restart daemon manager, it should reflect the changes directly after refresh.

I dont see this as a problem. One server has Log files added to be rotated and in another one they are not.

The files should have been there, but if not try to add the file and see if they get added.

After copying over the file to the new server it fixed the issue. I still don't understand why it disappeared. Thanks again.

Glad to know it helped. But this is extremely difficult now to understand as why that happened, as that has not been reported before by anyone else.

I will keep a note to see if anyone faces the same issue to check if this is not any bug. Just to confirm did u tried any upgrade when you saw this?

Only change was made to the system during that time was debug logging was turned on to troubleshoot some problems.

Than Probably this may be something with the file being corrupted somehow or some other ciscoworks user might have deleted logrot files from GUI.

Any reason for this is not reported or known in past (Since Logrot was first introduce in LMS 3.1), hence we can close this thread for now and wait if someones faces same and reports back to be tracked further.
