Hi All,
I've installed the evaluation version of LMS 4.2 on a server (I have met all prerequisites). On the server IE is installed.
The installation went fine, no errors. After the installation I doubleclick the CiscoWorks icon on the server desktop and I get the logon screen.
After filling in my username and password. I can see the url change in my browser. In the url I can see the word "loginSuccess&id", I guess this means my user and password are correct.
After a few seconds the page turns blank, telling me "The page cannot be displayed".
When I connect to the url on another machine, I receive the same error, with IE and with another browser (firefox).
Does anyone has a suggestion?
Thanks,
Best Regards,
Joris

if this still not helps, recreate the SSL certificate with the following tasks:
(in a dos box with administrative privileges)
stop the LMS processes
net stop crmdgtd
recreate the SSL certificate with the following steps:
NMSROOT\bin\perl.exe NMSROOT\MDC\Apache\ConfigSSL.pl -disable
remove or backup the server certificate files:
server.*
in this directory:
NMSROOT\MDC\Apache\conf\ssl
recreate the certificate:
NMSROOT\bin\perl NMSROOT\MDC\Apache\ConfigSSL.pl -enable
follow the dialog
if you do not want to use HTTPS disable the SSL with:
NMSROOT\bin\perl.exe NMSROOT\MDC\Apache\ConfigSSL.pl -disable
restart LMS:
net start crmdmgtd
try to login again...
if you still cannot login post the output of "pdshow"

try this workaround and report if it solved your issue:
a. Open the properties file name “gs.properties” under the path NMSROOT/MDC/tomcat/webapps/cwlms/WEB-INF/classes/com/cisco/nm/gs/ui
b. Update the field IS_DEFAULT_PAGE as “false”
c. Clear the browser cache and login-in(Daemon restart not required)

after the log in, when the page seems to hang, change the URL to
https://CWLMS/cwportal/group/lms/lms-configuration
and see what happens
After installing LMS, have you changed the RAM size of the system?

Hi Martin,
When I adapt the url I get the following message in IE.
You don't have permission to access /cwportal/group/lms/lms-configuration on this server.
Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
After installing LMS I didn't change the ram size.
I have 8GB of RAM. I did create a paging file of 16GB. The first installation attempt was failed because lack of the paging file.
Best Regards,
Joris

Hi Martin,
I am experiencing similar behavior with my installation of Prime LMS 4.2.2. After a successful login, I am being redirected to another link, and the browser hangs. I have tried both the workaround with the gs.properties file and with resetting the certificate, but it did not solve my problem.
Here is the link after the login:
https://<address>/CSCOnm/servlet/com.cisco.core.mice.main?command=initializeAndValidate&url=/cwportal/c/portal/login&context=/cwhp&port=443
If you or anyone else have an idea about this, please write it.
Kind regards,
Cosmin
