LMS 4.2 Scheduled Backup

Does Anybody knows what is included in the Admin-

>System->Backup? I read that is a DB backup but I am not sure what will the system backup, I mean what the backup contains.

Also, in case we need to do a whole servers disk Image, is there a way to stop the LMS 4.2 application?

Hi Martin,

Admin->System->Backup  :: contains the Backup of the LMS database ,your jobs , device information ,Configuration backup etc.. I mean eveything from the application preespective.

To stop the LMS application , you can do it from the command line:

for windows:

net stop crmdmgtd ( to stop)

net start crmdmgtd (to start )

for linux:

/etc/init.d/dmgtd stop

/etc/init.d/dmgtd start

for the whole sever backup , there are tools to backup the complete server , you server team will help you on that..

if it is on VM , you can save the Snap shot it is just like taking the backup of the complete server....
