We have an installation of Cisco Prime LMS 4.1 soft appliance on VMware and i would like to ask if it is possible to backup the database on an external drive other than the 'local' LMS hard disk. Is it possible?
We have the same installation as you and also wanted to backup the database to an external server. The answer I got from TAC was that this is not possible. But we can backup and then move it manually.
Same as windows or solaris. You can only backup to a local drive.
Making a script that does some compression (the backup is not compressed now, big waste of space) on the backup directory and pushes it to a remote NAS is not that hard.
