LMS4.2 admin username cannot login

Hi,

I have installed LMS4.2.2 on Windows 2008 server and am unable to login via the 'admin' username. I get "Invalid Username or Password. Please try again" error message. I can successfully login using Windows AD username and password.

I have reset the password for 'admin' username with the following:

!

nmsroot\bin\perl.exe resetpasswd.pl admin

Server has been rebooted PRE and POST password reset. What else can/should I do?

Hi Vineet,

I was facing similar issue, I was installing the same on VM... This is what i did to resolve the same

I re-installed the LM4.2 this time i did not change the default sysadmin name gave a password then gave a different password for GUI admin which is prompted after sysadmin. Once the installation was complted used the username 'admin'(this is the default GUI username) and the password given for GUI admin for log-in.

The passwords are saved encrypted for under NMSROOT\lib\classpath\com\cisco\nm\cmf\servlet\cwpass file.

You can replace the above file with NMSROOT\CSCOpx\lib\classpath\com\cisco\nm\cmf\servlet\orig\cwpass file, which should reset username admin to password admin.

PLease keep a backup of file before replacing.
