Log file DFM 3.2.1

                   Where can I can find the log file of DFM 3.2.1 on a Solaris system?  Can it be found using the GUI?  I manually set the SNMP of all devices, discovered in DCR, but only 4 imported through auto import.  Trying to figure out why others won't import and get SNMP timeout.

Hi,

Here is some info that I hope helps you out.

DFMMultiProcLogger (Central server for logging configuration for DFM.)

NMSROOT/log/dfmLogs/LogService/MultiProcLogger.log

daemons.log

Debug:

Backup; NMSROOT/log/conf/MultiProc-Logger.logConf  then edit the file and change  log4j.category.MultiProc-Logger from error to DEBUG  then restart Daemon Management.

DfmBroker (Handles inter-process communication for DFM.)

NMSROOT/objects/smarts/local/logs/brstart.log

daemons.log

DFMOGSServer (Handles group creation and rules processing for Device Fault Manager,  responsible for generating the device selector contents for DFM-based  applications.)

DFMOGSServer.log

DFMOGSClient.log

daemons.log

Debug:

DFM > Configuration > Other Configurations > Logging for DFMOGSServer

DfmServer (Poll network devices for faults, record inventory attributes, and process SNMP notifications.)

NMSROOT/objects/smarts/local/logs/DFM.log

daemons.log

Interactor (Pushes object attribute changes (such as managed state) to the DfmServer.)

NMSROOT/log/dfmLogs/cfi/Interactor.log

daemons.log

Debug:

DFM > Configuration > Other Configurations > Logging for Inventory Interactor

InventoryCollector (Obtains DCR device list, and passes it to DfmServer for inventory collection.)

NMSROOT/log/dfmLogs/InventoryCollector.log

NMSROOT/log/dfmLogs/PollingThresholdAdapter.log

daemons.log

TISServer (Maintain a CiscoWorks copy of DFM inventor)

NMSROOT/log/dfmLogs/TIS/TISServer.log
