Maximum number of devices, CW LMS 2.5.1

Hello.

I've got a customer who wants to manage 5000 devices on a fully spec'd, enterprise solution of LMS 2.5.1, ie, one server.

I'm not finding any clear information off the web and was wondering if anyone has tried this amount or what's the record?

Thanks.

Perhaps the Large Scale Deployment Guide for LMS 2.5 can give you some of the info you are looking for:

http://www.cisco.com/application/pdf/en/us/guest/products/ps2425/c1244/cdccont_0900aecd8026ee8d.pdf

Thanks.

However I've read that one and it states that a fully spec'd server can handle 5,000+ but another doco on LMS2.5.1 says the max is 1,500.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/products/sw/cscowork/ps2425/products_data_sheet0900aecd803fd8eb.html

Which one is telling the truth?

LMS 2.5.1 has been tested to handle 5000 devices.

Regards,

-Joe

I've just also found that if all apps are running on the server then it can only handle 1,500 devices but if the apps are split across different servers, then 5,000 can be accommodated.

Can you verify that?
