Monitor Nexus 2000, 5000 and 7000

   Hello,

          I am looking for the OID for the upstatus of interfaces on the Nexus 2k, 5k and 7k switches. We are trying to verify the up status of the these switches that are controlled by another customer. They are allowing SNMP to query the devices and no other protocols.

If you have snmp RO community string (or and SNMP v3 user), you can snmpwalk the device using that. for instance, I did that on a 5k switch just now and see it uses the standard RFC-1213 MIB to monitor interfaces.

(A 2k FEX will not be separately queryable but instead appears as a set of interfaces on the parent 5k or 7k switch.)

Below are a couple of lines to give you an idea of the output of snmpwalk. If you 're using any modern network management tool, it would generally automatically use the correct MIBs to interpret the data returned and put it into a more user-friendly view.
