Multicast Issues

I am pretty new to large cisco networks.  I have recently been asked to configure our network with multicast to be able to use a paging system with our phones.  What are some issues and/or side effects that comes with this change in the core stack?  What are the main problems associated with the change and how has anyone seen it effect the rest of the environment?  Thank you for any feedback!

Depends on how your exiting network configured how big your Enterprise LAN. As long as you configured rightly you should not see any issue, but i always suggest to do in maintenance window.
