Nexus 7k question

My companies migration included increasing the fiber port density on both N7K-C7010's by adding two N7K-F348XP-25's to both chassis'.  Both chassis' have already been populated with two(2) N7K-M132XP-12L and two(2) M148GT-11L modules. The preexisting population was run in a single default VDC that was configured to allow M1, F1, M1XL, F2, M2Xl and F2E modules.  A separate VDC was created just for the new N7K-F348XP-25 modules because, per Cisco, the M1 and F3 modules can not reside in the came VDC.  Per the documentation for the N7K-F348 module, and the C7010 documentation, as long as the OS is above 6.2(6) the F3 modules should work.  We are currently running both chassis' at 6.2(8A) and all four N7K-F348XP-25's are showing as powerd-dn and UNSUPPORTED/UNKNOWN MODULE.  My question to Cisco is :  I haven't found any information on the last question but I figure it worthy to ask anyway."given that the F348 is so new, is 6.2(8A) a relevent enough OS to run this module.  Also, other than the SUP's is there a specific slot that has been identified with the 7010 that the F3's have to be inserted.
