nexus dcnm snmpv3 with aaa authetication

Hi all,

I have enable aaa on my nexus switch, the user that i use for authentication is getting the default privileges, in the nexus config the dcnm configure a snmp-user with the role vdc-operator, since the dcnm needs vdc-admin how can i change the snmp-user on the nexus to have the vdc-admin role.

Which Nexus model you have? You can try to configure snmp user with vdc-admin syntax which should make it admin:

snmp-server user admin vdc-admin xxxxxxx (followed by other parameters)

Hi,

Nexus 7710.

Hi already have put that command but dcnm also the same command with network-operator since the user that the dcnm user is authenticated via tacas with the default role network-operator.

On the show snmp user i see the same user with vdc-admin and network-operator role
