Notification Receivers - North Bound

Hello there,

As per the user guide, it is clear that Cisco Prime Infrastructure can send notifications to remote notification receivers.

Here is the excerpt from the User Guide

Configure remote event and alarm receivers who will receive notifications from Prime Infrastructure.

Alerts and events are sent as SNMPv2 notifications to configured notification receivers. If you are adding a notification receiver with the notification type UDP, the receiver you add should be listening to UDP on the same port on which it is configured. By default, only INFO level events are processed for the selected category. Only SNMPV2 traps are considered for northbound notification.

Can someone explain it a bit more?

Does it mean that we will see exact the same Alarms/Events(Monitor / Monitoring Tools / Alarms and Events) seen in the PI in the remote notification receiver as well?

or, would it be the case that remote notification receiver would get law syslog/traps that were sent from network devices to the Prime Infrastructure?

Thank you

Kind Regards
