Ive got a Cisco 2800 - Cisco IOS Software, 2800 Software (C2800NM-IPBASE-M), Version 12.4(15)T9, and trying to configure NTP to sync with my Nexus for time. Got other switches and routers vendor equipments pointing to my NTP server (Nexus) and works out well.
Whenever I try to add the ntp server it has this mandatory vrf that I need to configure.

Can you post the command you are using and the response output of the router?
Thanks

I just want to enter "ntp server "ip address of the NTP server" however the only option showing up is this:
(config)#ntp server vrf ?
WORD VPN Routing/Forwarding instance name

In config mode what is the output of:
ntp server ?
I have some 2800s running advanced IP IOS and can just enter "ntp server x.x.x.x"
If possible, could you also post the config?
Thanks

Don't know. Sounds like a bug.
Doubt there is IOS still available for 2800s, but maybe you could try a workaround and tell it to use the default vrf?

Run this command on the config mode
(config)#ntp server vrf default x.x.x.x
% IP routing table default does not exist
