If switch "A" is replaced by switch "B", how do I remove switch "A" from the topology map without deleting/removing it from inventory?

You can just delete it from Topology Services and it should not be deleted from the other pieces. However, keep in mind if you remove it, it will fail in the other applications. You will most likely need to remove it from them and add the new switch.

What do you mean by:

"if you remove it, it will fail in the other applications" ?

The new switch has already been put in place (with a different management IP Address), old switch disconnected and left untouched in CiscoWorks.

I don't want the old switch on my Topology Map. (delete it, simple enough) However; I want it to show up when I run an inventory report; And not have it interfere if I were to do a "Group" selection, such as some sort of group configuration change with Netconfig.

For example: I have several non Cisco devices (with IP Addresses) in Common Services>Device Type Groups>Unknown Device Type. Is there a way to move my "old" switches/devices into that group (or a group I can create for such purposes) without having to add it manually? Plus if I did do that manually I don't think the hardware information would carry over, such as the device's serial# and other pertinent information.

Thanks in advance.
