Hello

The 3560X and 3750X switches don't normally support NetFlow. You need a C3KX-SM-10G network module which plugs to the side and provides a fast uplink with Flexible NetFlow capability.

Once you have that just make sure that the Solarwinds NetFlow Service is running (check Orion Service Manager). Configure Flexible NetFlow according to the following configuration guide and configure the IP address of your Solarwinds Orion platform as destination IP for NetFlow exports:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/lan/catalyst3750x_3560x/software/release/15-0_1_se/configuration/guide/3750xcg/swmnetflow.html

If the source IP address of these exports matches the management IP of the 3560X switch in Solarwinds, it will be automatically added to your NetFlow -> NTA Summary page (otherwise Solarwinds will complain about receiving traffic from unknown sources).

For more information see: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/catalyst-3750-x-series-switches/data_sheet_c78-584733.html

Best regards,
Martin

I believe even if and when you add the module, you need to actively use it for traffic in order to get the Netflow data from the switch.

I basically gave up on getting useful Netflow from the low- mid-line switches (2k/3k/4k) after trying and failing half a dozen times - even for switches that are documented to support it.

Thank you all for your help!
