Hello,
I need to configure some Switches (this switches are connected to a Server PT) with a bunch of cameras connected to each Switch, for a security system. But I don't know which Switches support power over Ethernet. I've been using one Switch that packet tracer gives by default but this one doesn't support power over Ethernet so the network was completely exhausted.
Any other ideas? Should I connect this cameras directly to the Server? Or it can be more efficient connecting them to Switches? What type of connection would be the best?
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
as far as I recall, only the multilayer switches (e.g. the 3650PS switch) support PoE.

Just replace L2 switch with L3 one; PT has 2 of those, c3650 and c3660; one of those (if not both) supports PoE.

I believe 2960 doesn't support PoE in packet tracer. It might support as i looked in google, but i was unsuccessful when i tried in packet tracer. If you still want to stick with switch 2960, you can just click on IP phone and in bottom you can see power adapter. Just drag and drop to the plug in phone. However you can use L3 switch i.e. 3560 & 3650 switches. These support PoE. You can enable PoE by following command:
1. enable
2. config terminal
3. interface fa0/1
4. power inline auto
