Hello,
I have problems stopping the Ciscoworks services. The dmgtd stop doesn't work well and pdshow doesn't work.
It's a new LMS2.2 installation coming from a 2.2 to 2.5 upgrade, uninstallation of 2.5 and installation of 2.2.
Any idea??

infact the command to stop Ciscoworks services is not dmgtd try this command instead
'net stop crmdmgtd' this will stop the ciscoworks services ,and try 'pdshow |more ' command from the Ciscoworks install folder..assuming u r running Ciscoworks on a windows server..

I have a similar problem ("dmgtd stop" timing out) on a particular lab box, after RME 3.5 IDU 10 and CM 3.3 IDU 10 on LMS 2.2. Here's a not-very-elegant workaround I used to get IDUs 11 installed, may or may not suit your purpose:
- temporarily disable "/etc/rc3.d/S10dmgtd" (and "/etc/rc3.d/S93ipm", if you have RWAN 1.x) by renaming it to something else
- reboot your box
- do whatever you need to do with dmgtd stopped here
- when finished, reinstate "/etc/rc3.d/S10dmgtd" (and "/etc/rc3.d/S93ipm")
- reboot your box again
