Prime 3.0.2 - Nexus 56128P appears as "Unsupported Cisco Device"

Hey,

we recently updated Prime Infrastructure from 2.2 to 3.0.1 and, in spite of our Nexus 56128P is on Prime supported devices list, it appears as "Unsupported Cisco Device".

I didn't have this problem on PI 2.2 version and, since we upgraded in 3 steps (2.2->3.0->3.0.1->device pack 1) I couldn't tell wich upgrade "broke" this specific device inventory.

Thanks in advance.

It is actually on the supported device list - did you try to remove and rediscover it?

Yes, I noticed that the device are in the support list.

In fact, I had a dashlet that was monitoring one of the interfaces and as I recall it was working with prime 3.0. It makes me think that the problem is on the 3.0.1 update or in the device pack 1.

Tried to remove and discover it (even remove and add it mannually) without success.

Hi Sergio,

I have same problem with Nexus 5672UP, Partial Collection Failure:

feature_ethernetext_nexus

Unable to collect the configured Spanning Tree Protocol details on the device

feature_vlan_nexus

Info Prime:

Prime Infrastructure 3.0 Device Pack 1

PI 3.0.2

Checked: remove & rediscover

Do you have any update about this issue?

Thanks!

Hi Hilario,

In this case it is not the same problem I think.

I had that problem (Partial Collection Failure) with another pair of nexus (5596UP) and the device pack 2 solved it.

Don't install the tech pack yet, it seems to be a flawed update:

Ops, I wrongly tagged your question as correct answer.

As for the problem, I have not found a solution yet.

Hey,

The device pack 4 is available for install and it solved the problem.

Hey,

And it's exactly the same issue with Nexus 5672UP on CPI 3.1...There is no solution at the moment and the story starts from beginning in every CPI version.

I asked myself why Cisco is selling N2K licenses (FEX) ??

Any idea, as the ports should appear under the Nexus 5672 device, or am I wrong in my expectations ?

Hi all,

has there been a solution for the unsupported device message?

having the same one at the moment.

Cheers.

daniel

Hey,

I open a case for this issue and Cisco guys told me that device pack 4 should fix it:

"The device should be supported in Device Pack 4, which is due to be released in a  few weeks."

It was in February 15th, let's see...

The device pack 4 is available for install and solved the problem.
