Prime Infra 3.1 Controller backup

Hi All,

Can someone please guide me how to config prime infra 3.1 to collect controller backup on a scheduled date/time

 You can do that at:

Inventory / Device Management / Configuration Archive

You can select one or more devices and click "Schedule Archive" which will give you some options:

Now or Date. If you choose Date, then you can choose when archive will start.

 After that, you can choose the recurrence which can be "none", "minute" up to "year".

The files will be saved at "/localdisk/tftp" which you can see and retrieve using filezilla for example. You can also deploy back on the WLC using the same Prime´s page you did backup.

Thanks for the quick response.

Have you faced any issue when running config archives ? ( controller creds failure - found lot of bugs related to it) Not sure when cisco going to fix it.

> Tested this in lab environment, where I configued the schedule every 10 mins and 20 mins

Unfortunately Cisco Prime is very buggy. If you are sure you can a read/write community and proper credentials, then, the only solution is open up a Cisco TAC or wait for future updates.

 Although,  scheduled backup is not difficult to get running script from somewhere. You can get to the WLC, run show running-config and take it to a directory. This would be more reliable.
