Prime Infrastructure 2.2 - 6509 Sup 2T

Hi

I have Prime Infrastructure 2.2 running with various managed Cisco devices, one of these devices is a 6509 chassis with dual sup 2T supervisors. When the active supervisor fails and we failover to the standby we are not receiving any notification on PI regarding this failure. I have snmp configured on the 6509 which is sending various traps to PI (including 'snmp-server enable traps module'). I am seeing other events (for example - PSU failure).

I suppose my first question is whether this can be reported to PI during the failover process?

If so, what do I need to implement to enable this?

Hi,

I am not sure about PI 2.2 version,

I am using 3.1, There is alarm severity in setting.

Path:Administration / Settings / System Setting/ alarm and event/Alarm Severity and Auto Clear/wired/switch

There is "switch module down" alarm condition. I think you should get alarm for that and you can set email notification as well.
