Prime Infrastructure DISABLE enhanced client traps

Peter Zsiros

Level 1

Hi,

Step 4 of enabling Enhanced Client Traps on Prime is:

  • run: /opt/CSCOlumos/bin/setLogLevel.sh com.cisco.client.traps TRACE

There is 0 information about disabling the feature.

What is the original log level?

What should I set if I want to disable Enhanced Client Traps?

Thanks in advance,

Peter

The feature can be enabled and disabled in the GUI, as mentioned. In addition, the default log level is INFO.
However, it is also recommended to disable the SNMP traps for client authentication and association events in Cisco WLC configuration.

Administration > Settings > System settings > Client and user > client

Config trapflags ... disable

So, will that disable the TRACE level logs?

Just asking because setting up the feature needs command line.

Disabling is possible from GUI?

Does not sound right, or it is just poor design again.

/opt/CSCOlumos/bin/setLogLevel.sh com.cisco.client.traps TRACE

Enables Logging to file.

Enhanced client traps are enabled from gui under settings.

That 'INFO' I was looking for.

Thank you!
