Prime LMS 4.2.5 - unknown device status

Hi Support,

I've a strange scenario , that seems to start when I update device package.

Every device that’s added to the LMS (4.2.5 win' platform) is in UNKNOWN status, I tried it with several devices even with devices that are in manage status.

When deleting the manage status device and rediscover it its go straight to unknown status.

the t-shoot that I've done:

1.Removing ACL from the device.

2.Verify SSH connection from the LMS server to the device.

3.When add device I didn’t saw any packets from the LMS to the device.

4.Using snmpwalk verified that there is a snmp packets between the server and the device.

5.Verify the services are up and running.

6.Verify that the LMS process are working.

My first thought was that the device package install damage one or more of the DB is damage is there a way to check which one?

Thanks In advance

Dawit

Hello Dawit Zeru,

cd LMSROOT\CSCOpx\bin

LMSROOT\PSUCli.bat -p cmf -q -all

**LMSROOT could be C:, D: or any other partition

it will return the information regarding the device packages your LMS have installed now, beforehand the latest ones are:

Mdf 1.98

DeviceData 3.6

Mdf_NonCisco 1.2

If they are not the latest ones proceed to download and install them from:

Admin > System > Software CenterDevice Update

If any error comes out, let me know.

Regards,

Ernesto Q
