Version 4.2.4

Hello, I am currently using PLMS 4.2.4, and have never been able to get it to work properly.   The program has always run VERY slow and the server its on is not the problem, as it is very fast.  Does anyone know any tricks to get PLMS to speed up?  Some days it takes so long, I can't even get past the login page.

Thank you

Hello afsharki2,

There are some details that are missing at this point, but I would like to first ask you if your LMS at least meets or exceeds the basic server requirements in order to proceed further on this matter, as I do not know the current specifications then below I put the 3 possible scenarios, please check them and let me know.

Server Requirements on Soft Appliance Systems

Server Requirements on Solaris Systems

Server Requirements on Windows Systems

Hey Ernesto,  I have checked all the requirements, and every single one is being met by more than needed.  Do you know of any other settings I can check?

Thanks

Hi afsharki,

One common situation is when LMS has debugs enable so that cpu resources are consumed fastly which causes as well slowness.

Here are my recomendations:

1-Make sure there is no debug enable from:

Admin > System > Debug Settings

Check every single link and disable all the enabled ones

2-LMS can be improved by applying a specific profile, please attach the output from:

if linux:

cd /opt/CSCOpx/bin/rmept

then type and attach the following output:

rmeptt.sh -list

rmeptt.sh -show

if windows:

cd NMSROOT\CSCOpx\bin\rmept

then type and attach the following output:

rmeptt.bat -list

rmeptt.bat -show

**NMSROOT is the location where LMS was installed such as C: or D:..

LMS does a lot of DNS lookups. Even  to talk to itself! Really.

So check if DNS works, and if LMS can resolve itself to its IP and its IP to the name of the server.

Cheers,
