Hi,
I connected to cmfDb with cmfDBA user but I can't reach with lmsdatafeed user.
I launched dbpasswd.pl dsn=cmf npwd=******** to change user password beacuse I was thinking that I was changing password for lmsdatafeed. Finally I can connect with db but only withcmfDBA.
Using SSQL Anywhere client I can see users but I don't find lmsdatafeed on list.
I can't understand whats the matter, I don't know if there're a problem with db installation and I must launch dbaccess.pl install or how I can change password to user lmsdatafeed.

could it be that an anti-virus software is preventing the execution of dbaccess.pl?

To enable the access to applications database, you must run the dbaccess.pl utility from the command line.
You must run:
•NMSROOT/bin/perl NMSROOT/bin/dbaccess.pl {install|clean} [debug] — on Solaris systems
•NMSROOT\bin\perl NMSROOT\bin\dbaccess.pl {install|clean} [debug] — on Windows systems
where,
•NMSROOT — Default CiscoWorks installation directory
•install — Command line parameter that cleans the existing views, creates new views and provides access to databases
•clean — Command line parameter that cleans the existing views
•debug — Prints the debug and warning messages on the screen
The default database view user name is lmsdatafeed. The CLI utility prompts you to enter the database view password.
You can enter password of length between 5 to 30 characters.
A few warning messages appear while running the utility with the debug option. These messages appear when the view definitions are not in the database.
For example, you may get the following warning messages while the utility enables access to Common Services database:
WARN: User ID 'lmsdatafeed' does not exist (DBD: execute failed).
WARN: Table 'Network_Devices' not found (DBD: execute failed).
WARN: Table 'Job_Details' not found (DBD: execute failed).
You can ignore these warning messages.
I hope this will help you !!!

to reset the password of lmsdatafeed you can just re-run
NMSROOT\bin\perl NMSROOT\bin\dbaccess.pl install
you will be asked to set the password for user lmsdatafeed and the views will be dropped and regenerated. You wont loose any data in the database.
Details on the process can be found here:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/ciscoworks_lan_management_solution/3.2/database_schema/guide/dbviews.html#wp69517
also keep in mind, that with dbaccess.pl you will not gain access to the databases (like cmd, ani, rmeng, ...) you just generate certain predefined views and the user "lmsdatafeed" who has READ access only to these views. The views themselves provide you structured data from different tables of the different databases - and the schema of these views is published - so you can make use of this data.
Direct database access is still not supported by Cisco.
With dbpasswd.pl you do NOT change the password of the user "lmsdatafeed" but of the internally used user (as you mentioned, for cmf it is cmfDBA)

do I understand correctly, that you executed dbaccess.pl and you did not get a response back from the script ?
No services needs to be stopped.
can you please open another DOS box and provide the output of "pdshow" and "pdshow -brief"

Exactly, dbaccess.pl doesn't work and there aren't response.
We executed "pdshow -brief" and this is the response:
C:\Program Files (x86)\CSCOpx\bin>pdshow -brief
