"Custom Syslog Events" with PI 3.0

I want to know if the old fonctionnality called "Syslog automated action"  in LMS  could be replace by "Custom Syslog event" in PI3.0

I try to create a new "Custom Syslog event", but it is only the field "message type " ( Not the "Event message") which is analysed to generate an event.

Unfortunatly, "Message type" is not very relevant. If we expect a precis event (for instance a Specific machine with a specific event), it is  the "Event Message" which is important, not the "Message type".

Any idea to do a workaround ?

I have this exact question.  We're trying to finally shut down our LMS platform and in order to do that we need to send out email alerts based on syslog messages.  I see the syslog messages, created a custom event, but it appears a custom event is worthless because you can't do anything with it.  I thought for sure I was missing something, but TAC is not getting me anywhere either.
