Apologies if I have the title incorrect but here's my question. I've been doing network in the past couple of months and our traditional setup was an L2 switch cascaded or trunk in an L3 switch. What if for example, I purchased another L3 switch and from the L2 switch interconnect 2 cables going to both L3 switch. The purpose is for redundancy in case the first L3 broke down.
Thanks
Jeff

Buy a second 3850 and stack them together. That makes them look like one switch.
Then connect each 2960 to both Cisco 3850's using Etherchannel.

2960-X does not have HSRP.

Thanks
