Reinit RME & ANI database

Hi,

I got a device stuck in "Not responding" state when it was added to RME (CW2K 4th ed.) since this is a development server I want to delete everything and restart with a clean database, however I don't want to reinstall the whole thing.

Problem is, after running reinitdb.pl I still got the same device and several other things.

What else can I do to get back to a fresh state?

TIA

Carlos

Hi,

You can clear out your RME database using the following on a Solaris Platform

opt/CSCOpx/bin/perl /opt/CSCOpx/bin/dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=rme dmprefix=Essentials npwd=*your-new-password*

I have done this in the past on a Solaris box, plus also i've flushed the ANI database too, all without any issues...

The following link shows a bit more detail on how to do this on Solaris AND Windows:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/cscowork/ps2073/prod_troubleshooting_guide09186a00801d3120.html#wp1053797

Good luck

Paddy

Hi,

Thank you for your answer. Unfortunately there's no dbRestoreOrig.pl on the server. :(

I don't know why I don't have it. This should be part of any standard install, right?
