Hi guys,
I'm looking for a way to find the ifindex of a given interface on an ASA 5512-X, as well as setting the ifindex persist option? The command reference for this platform does not seem to show any commands related to this, but i'm hoping someone has come across similar or knows a workaround.
Thanks.

example to identify the ifindex from an ASA5520 8.4(7)30 -
sh int G 0/1 detail
....
Control Point Interface States:
Interface number is 3
I'll update if I come across an answer for ASA equivalent of router command "snmp-server ifindex persist"

Seems the --- show interface name detail --- works. Just tried it. Will monitor and see after a few days. I need to use it for Flow-Traffic enablement. Seems the NMS we're using is only tracing the IF-INDEX. Thanks for you share !!!
