SNMP OID for power supply FAN ?

Leon
Level 1
Level 1

I am looking for OID for the fans for PS for the 3750X series switches as indicated below. There is a bug in SE6 that marks your PS-FAN faulty even if it's running OK. I have yet to be able to find the OID for that value...

lanedge-stack1c#show env stack
SWITCH: 1
FAN 1 is OK
FAN 2 is OK
PS-FAN1 is FAULTY                   <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
PS-FAN2 is NOT PRESENT
TEMPERATURE is OK
Temperature Value: 30 Degree Celsius
Temperature State: GREEN
Yellow Threshold : 46 Degree Celsius
Red Threshold    : 60 Degree Celsius
POWER is OK
RPS is NOT PRESENT

HI ,

You need to walk CISCO-ENVMON-MIB for the TEMP/PowerSupply/FAN

1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.4.1.2 ciscoEnvMonSupplyState

1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.13.1.5.1.2 ciscoEnvMonSupplyStatusDescr

Hope it will help

Thanks-

Afroz

Thanks for the reply Afroz

But the OIDs are for hardware on the chassis, not for fans the power supply itself.

use this one:

Object    cefcFRUPowerOperStatus OID    1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.117.1.1.2.1.2

This should give you the desired result.

Thanks-

still doesn't appear to be right

Here is the SNMP result

SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.9.9.117.1.1.2.1.2.1058 = INTEGER: 2
SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.9.9.117.1.1.2.1.2.2058 = INTEGER: 2

2 indicates both are on, but two are faulty and two are not present.... this is a 2 switch stack, btw.

SWITCH: 1
FAN 1 is OK
FAN 2 is OK
PS-FAN1 is FAULTY
PS-FAN2 is NOT PRESENT

SWITCH: 2
FAN 1 is OK
FAN 2 is OK
PS-FAN1 is FAULTY
PS-FAN2 is NOT PRESENT

regards

Peter
