Tool to open more than 1000 TCP connections to a web server

Hi guys,

I have an issue where apparently a customer can only get 1000 connections through to a server.  Is there a network tool i can use to open more than 1000 TCP connections to prove this is actually the case?

I have had a quick look on the net but its not very clear.

hping is a common tool for this type of thing. It can be found, among other places, in a Kali Linux distribution.
