Hi,

We are receiving the following traps from our cisco ASR1004, I understand this for the physical enity like(fan, interaface, env..etc) but how do we relate this to which physical enity it refers.And also what does the numbers in the traps mean?

Notification of Physical entity 1093 asserted alarm.

Notification of Physical entity 1381 asserted alarm.

Notification of Physical entity 1343 asserted alarm.

Notification of Physical entity 1367 asserted alarm.

Notification of Physical entity 1331 asserted alarm.

Notification of Physical entity 1139 asserted alarm.

This should be mostly the entity Index for one of the perticular hardware entity inside the device. You should be able to see what this index is mapped to and refers to, by polling entity MIB or entPhysicalDescr.

Like to see what is 1093 you can walk entPhysicalDescr.1093.

In my 6500 I have one index common - 1139. To see what refers to it, i walked the mib and found :

C:\>snmpwalk -v2c -c public 10.104.149.180 1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1.1.2.1139

SNMPv2-SMI::mib-2.47.1.1.1.1.2.1139 = STRING: "Transceiver Port Gi8/4"
