I have a doubt about SNMP. How can we update new MIBs in managed devices ( routers, switches, etc )? Do we have to do an OS upgrade for that or can we just upload the file?
- Supported MIBS are indeed implemented in the software (version) that the device is currently running. They can not be uploaded. Changes to supporting elements or mib(-variables) must be examined by studying release notes of subsequent versions.
