I just upgraded Ciscoworks from LMS2.6 to LMS3.2 and I see in the "System" view that RMEDbEngine, ConfigMgmtServer, and EssentialsDM are down. I attempted to start the processes from "Process Status" window, but that did not work. Can anyone let me know how to get these processes started or what is wrong ?

Hi,
Try the below steps and let me know how it works :
shutdown dmgtd (net stop crmdmgtd)
then remove ctmregistry* from NMSROOT/MDC/tomcat/webapps/rme/WEB-INF/lib.
Then, restart dmgtd (net start crmdmgtd)
If above did not work send me the below information :
1.output of pdshow
2.syslog.log
3.ctm_config.txt (location :NMSROOT\MDC\Tomcat\shared\lib)
4.md.properties (NMSROOT\CSCOpx\lib\classpath)
5.Installation.log (c:\)
Thanks
Afroj

Afroj,
I should have mentioned that this is on a Solaris server and not Windows. I have shut down the dmgtd, deleted the ctmregistry, and restarted dmgtd. I still have a message that RMEdbEngine process is down. Since this is Solaris, I am unable to follow your instructions for the output you requested.

Hi ,
Is cisco works Integrated with ACS ?
Kindly send me the below information :
1.output of pdshow ( ./pdshow)
2.syslog.log (location : opt/CSCOpx/log)
3.ctm_config.txt ( /opt/CSCOpx/MDC/TOMCAT/shared/lib)
4.md.properties (/opt/CSCopx/lib/classpath)
Thanks
Afroj

I will send you the info you requested. Thanks.

Afroj,
I am unable to find the jrm.log file and the Jrm_user.properties file on my server. The syslog_info file contains the syslog messages received from our network devices. Are there any other files you need? Thanks.

Hi,
kindly look for the filejrmuser.properties ( location:/opt/CSCOpx/lib/classpath)
and check the ServiceName present in jrmuser.properties. It should only include the hostname not the FQDN.
If you found FQDN in the properties file change it and Re-start the Daemon Manager.
Thanks
Afroj

Hello Afroj,
I checked the jrmuser.properties file and it does not have the FQDN. Here is the output below. Any other suggestions for me ? Thanks.
