The upgrade option is available in the LMS 3.2 DVD's

in the DVD it's simple you can choose upgrade and continue the installation, but if you are using the downloadable eval version you don't have that option and you need to install it in a fresh server then do the data migration from LMS 3.1 to LMS 3.2

before doing any upgrade you need to make sure that you have the LMS 3.2 server requirements

also here is the migraion guide for the LMS 3.2

Hi,

One more query, if i install LMS3.2 in the same server where LMS 3.1 is installed.

Please tell me whther the data will be migrated from LMS 3.1 to LMS 3.2 automatically or do i need to take the backup of the data?

If you are using the DVD and did the upgrade option yes the data will move automatically

but it's always better if you take backups before doing any major changes so you can recover if needed.
